First knkPublishing installation in Thailand

The knk Group and Nanmeebooks Co. Ltd. are proud to announce the successful implementation and go-live of knkPublishing. Nanmeebooks, based in Bangkok is the first customer of the knk Group in Thailand with a focus on Education and Children’s Books.

“The implementation of knkPublishing was a leap into the future for our company. Before this project, our daily processes in financial accounting and royalty management were nearly all manual processes, without any system support”, states Kim Chongsatitwantana Chief Executive Officer Nanmeebooks Co. Ltd. “Using the new system, we are well prepared for the future and will be able to efficiently implement and review new digital business models.”

The publishing software knkPublishing is used to manage financial and publishing operations at Nanmeebooks. Specifically, the overall project scope included: Financial Accounting, Cash Management, Inventory and Warehousing, Customer Relationship Management (CRM), Editorial Management, Production, Metadata Management, Rights and Royalty Management as well as Subscription Management.

Sven Wischhusen, Chief Operating Officer of knk Business Software AG adds: “A significant period of the project was affected by the global pandemic. It was a challenge for all of us, but due to the great partnership between our teams and the usage of modern collaboration tools, we managed to accomplish all important project steps including the user acceptance test using remote methods. We are very proud of the achievements of all the teams involved, including Nanmeebooks, our local partner Exsys and the knk team, working together in three continents on this project – Asia, Europe and North America.”

At the beginning of the project, knk started to partner with Exsys Co. Ltd., a consulting company specializing in implementation and customization services in Microsoft Dynamics Software product, headquartered in Bangkok.

“Being a certified Microsoft partner not only ensures that we are able to offer our clients the latest Microsoft technology, but it also enables us to take advantage of the global Microsoft partner network that helps us offer our products and services globally. We have learned a lot and the partnership with Exsys helped us to deal with language barriers, local laws and regulations as well as cultural differences that have to be considered in projects like this”, states Knut Nicholas Krause CEO of knk Business Software AG. “In addition to this partnership and the teamwork Sven Wischhusen mentioned, there is another success factor I would like to emphasize: the overwhelming commitment and dedication of the Nanmeebooks team. Their team was actively engaged throughout the whole project. This not only applies to the core project team, but also to all 50 key users that contributed to make this project successful.”
