knk is pleased to announce the appointment of John Lawson as its UK Sales Director. John has been an active part of the publishing industry for more than fifteen years and has worked for several other publishing software suppliers including VISTA, Publishing Technology/Ingenta, and more recently Klopotek.
“I am very excited to be joining knk at a time when the publishing industry is seeking reliable, innovative, and futureproof solutions which are capable of fast adjustment to meet the rapidly changing requirements imposed through consumer demand and technology. knk is enjoying exponential growth and I am looking forward to introducing their excellent solution to the UK market,” states John Lawson.
John began his software career on a support desk for a London-based software company before progressing through a number of customer-facing roles until 1991 when he was appointed the Implementation and Training Manager at Heathmill Multimedia, a mid-size software company developing solutions for vertical markets including Magazine and Journal Publishing, Property Management, Recruitment and Financial Services.
The experience gained at Heathmill opened the door to a career in sales and he joined VISTA in 2004 as Business Development Manager, where he worked on major accounts such as Random House, Macmillan, and Hachette Distribution, and the British Medical Journal. In 2011, he joined Klopotek as UK Sales Director and got promoted to the role of UK Director with full regional responsibility within twelve months.
