Press Release
Morristown, 2 February 2017
The Canadian Educational and Professional Publisher Emond Publishing implements the publishing software knkPublishing.
knkPublishing will become the core publishing system of Emond Publishing. The software will be used in the Financial Accounting (Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivables, General Ledger), Editorial Office and Production, Rights and Royalties as well as in Media Sales and Distribution.
“We chose knkPublishing as it offers an integrated system and enables us to manage all our business processes in one single application based on the latest Microsoft technology. The fu
ture-proof publishing software and knk’s profound knowledge of the publishing industry were crucial for our final decision for knkPublishing”, states Paul Emond, President of Emond Publishing.
After the project kickoff in September 2016, it took Emond and knk less than five months to go-live with the first phase, replacing QuickBooks. “Within the phase, Emond not only managed the IT-project in addition to their daily business, but also took care of many essential project tasks such as installation training, as well as the setup of the software, requiring only minimal support from us”, explains Jesko Iwanovski, knk-project manager. “It is a pleasure to work with such a dedicated team. We are looking forward to the upcoming project phases together with the Emond team.”
For the overall training strategy, Emond chose knk’s self-directed learning process, using specific product documentation and training guides followed by short online Q&A-sessions with the knk team.
